Las Vegas is home to neon lights, classic casinos, themed buildings and other unique architecture and landmarks. Visitors will have no shortage of unique locations for visiting and taking photos. However some of the most iconic locations are worth a visit, no matter how “touristy” they may appear from afar.
The Las Vegas Welcome Sign is one of the most popular photo locations on the entire strip. Known the world around, the sign stages “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” and was erected in 1959.
Located further down the Las Vegas Strip, the “High Roller” is a 167-meter tall Ferris wheel that looks out over the entire Las Vegas Strip. Opened on March 31, 2014, it is currently the tallest Ferris wheel in the world with a trip around the entire wheel taking 30 minutes to complete.
For those seeking something at even greater heights, the Stratosphere (now the STRAT Hotel, Casino and Skypod Las Vegas) is an icon of the city. Visible from throughout Las Vegas, it is the tallest structure in Las Vegas at 350 meters. The top houses an observation deck as well as several high-thrill amusement rides and attractions.
