Many of Washington DC’s most popular tourist attractions are concentrated in the city center around the National Mall, West End and Capitol Hill. The National Mall is actually a large National Park housing many of the most famous monuments and museums of the city including the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and the National Air and Space Museum. The West End is home to the White House and Kennedy Center. Georgetown offers a beautiful and historic neighborhood for strolling through, with buildings from the city’s original colonial development still standing and in use today.
